Hoʻomana, in 'Ōlelo Hawai'i (Hawaiian Language), literally means, to make strong - then translating to empower.
Since its inception in 2022, the Kūki'o Ho'omana Fund has had a specific focus on educational support and medical assistance for Kūki'o staff families. In partnership with the Kūki'o Community Fund (KCF), the Kūki'o Ho'omana Fund aims to elevate our commitment to new heights, both through staff support and the tremendous community support provided by the over 20-year commitment of KCF. Going forward as one organization, Kūki'o Ho'omana Fund will support both initiatives by providing the option to designate the use of each gift or entrust the Kūki'o Ho'omana Board and Advisors to determine the most appropriate allocation, leveraging the 501(c)(3) status of the Ho'omana Fund. Together, the Kūki'o Ho'omana Fund Board and Advisory Committee are committed to ensuring that our combined resources result in a greater positive impact on the Hawai'i Island community and our Kūki'o 'ohana.
Our Mission
The Kūki'o Ho'omana Fund seeks to uplift and enrich our Hawai'i Island community through intentional investments in curated local organizations focusing on youth empowerment, affordable housing, environmental preservation, cultural enrichment, food security and tailored Kūki'o staff support for educational and financial hardship assistance.
Our Vision
We envision a future where our investments are a catalyst for meaningful change in local organizations and our staff's families, fostering a thriving resilient Hawai'i Island community.
Kūkiʻo Hoʻomana Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a tax-exempt public charity, the Fund is open to receive charitable contributions.
